Computers I've Used - #1 - Commodore CBM-8032

[this is good]
Ah, that song brings me back to 6th grade. It was so original, we'd never heard anything like that before, having grown up on the Monkees, Osmonds, and disco. (among other things of course) Crazy about the computer. 1980. wow. I took a computer course in 1983 or 4 on something not too much more advanced than that (your program example brings back memories) and I had to drop the class I did not understand a damn thing. I still managed a D though and this kid who had a computer at home and could make it do fun stuff and make noises failed.
Thanks for the plug. I never got to use the Commodores much especially the CBM. My school had a TRS-80 Model 1 my senior year and we had an account at WKU on their PDP11/45. Only one class had access at the high school. Learned a bit with it and perhaps my biggest lesson, computers can be incompatible. My BASIC program I wrote on the TRS-80 would not work on the university's PDP11/45.
So you're recycling posts now? How green of you.
These and the PETs too. And Commordore made the 16 and the 128 model also. They also had a PONY model IBM compatible 286 computer too as I recall. The Amiga had the cool crossover backplane that could run IBM compatible cards in it as well. It was the first system to run virtual machines and non-sequential programming natively. I loved me some Amigas. ALways wanted to get the 4000 Toaster series for video editing, but never happened. Also, when Gateway bought Amiga from Commodore, we all waited anxiously for something that never emerged... Dammit.
