Palin in Trouble?

Her spin is incredible -- people who travel are all spoiled rich kids who backpacked after college?
i can't watch anymore. it's disturbing to think she's a candidate for VP of OUR country!
Stunning really - I can't wait for the debates.
I wasn't watching, but Jamie keeps up with it and then suddenly I hear some clip I shouldn't and I'm right back in again. I was watching MSNBC this morning and Joe Scarborough said that when she first came out he was thinking she was getting the bad end of all of the publicity and being treated unfairly by the media, but now he says he's not so sure about her anymore.
Now do you see why McCain's peeps are keeping the media away from her?
She'll lose him the election, I'm sure of it. She's a joke but no one is laughing.
Ugh! Yes, it all makes sense now.

It's unbelievable that every day she mentions about how Russia is right next door, 'this big powerful country' and that gives her experience with foreign policy, she harps on it even though everyone mocks her for that. also what Laurie said. "Nooooo, I worked all my life." well guess what. A lot of kids who graduate college, or while still in college, since they aren't changing colleges every year, work SO they can buy themselves a backpack and a plan & train ticket so they can actually experience other cultures. Reading it in books is NOT the same as travelling, Gov. Clueless.

She could be the best thing that has happened to Obama.

If only the women who are blind to all facts except that she is a woman, too, would fall in line.
BAHAHAHAHAHA. It's like someone slapped lipstick and a wig on Dubya and sent him out there to talk about foreign policy. How can American voters NOT vote for this? Dubya with cute legs, w00t!
Vomitous. Is that a word?
But at least Bush with lipstick and a wig would know that the "Bush Doctrine" isn't a place to hunt moose.
Yanno, when we hire student workers for the library, if they say, "I haven't worked in a library but I read alot," they go to the bottom of the app pile. Just sayin'...
So traveling is not part of education??

That crap about not having a passport made me throw up in my mouth. First, my 15 year old daughter is better traveled than this woman without leaving the country. As for me, I've had a passport for nearly 7 years (and I'm embarrassed to say it's ONLY been that long) and no one in my family is wealthy, or hell, even well-off!

Sarah Pales-in comparison to, well, just about anyone.

It also shows that she has no curiosity about other countries that she hasn't had any desire to travel as an adult. International travel in her family means going to fight in Iraq.

And notice, when Obama wanted to beef up his "experience", he actually went on an overseas tour. She went to NY, and did a tour of some of the UN building.

I agree that what she says about traveling is ridiculous given her job, etc, but I can say that I only got a passport last year at 37 and had never been out of Canada before then, and had traveled very little within Canada, for many reasons.

But don't forget, she's right there by the Russian and Canadian borders, so that counts. <eye roll>

Yeah, she's right next to Canada and when Harper rears his head, she's right there.....

No, for a while I wondered whether she was just exaggerating the stupidity to appeal to the GOP base.
But now I think it's really as high as she goes.

Oh yeah... "when Pootin rears his head..." WTF?

I love how she sneers at international travel as something indulged in by rich kids who are too lazy to "work".

I agree, she's Bush in a bad wig.

This is really, really frightening. I could have worked that interview better than she did and I know sweet F.A. about politics.
Yeah. I can't wait to see whether the majority of Americans really really really identify with this.
Next weeks debate should be really enlightening.

Oh, sweet God.

I read books, too, but I wouldn't say that I have a working knowledge of London because I read Bridget Jones' Diary.

Maybe you should read it WHILE staying at a Holiday Inn Express.

Maybe I should watch the movie--it'd be just like being there!

And then I wouldn't have to worry about those pesky words. ;)

I wish Katie Couric would have asked her what books she read to give her this great perspective on the world. I bet she would have said, "I'll go look for some and get 'em to ya!"
Then we'd find out she's only had a library card for a short time. She only signed up for it so she could register books for the banning.
