TV Thursday
Two and a half Men - This was good.
Big Bang Theory was a little slow out of the gate, but hopefully it will get back in the swing of things.
The new show with Red Foreman, Worst Week - umm, yeah - that really sucked. It wasn't funny and when it tried to be funny, it was too predictable. Like, when you show off a fancy painting, you just know he's going to ruin it soon. Also the whole funeral home thing wasn't funny either. Next week I see he kills the birds with avocados. Groan!
Eureka finished up - it was awesome as always but had a nasty turn at the end. Hopefully they'll clear that up whenever they resume shows again - might not be until next summer? The New Adventures of Old Christine was funny - crazy funny. I suppose you'd either really like it or hate it and it's one of the ones we really enjoy. I started watching Knight Rider, but it didn't grab my attention yet so I put it off until later. I might not even have all of it since the president started his speech towards the end. We DVRd Bizarre Foods - I tried watching it, but I can't watch it on a full stomach or and empty one. Maybe in-between I can consider it. You've got to admit - he's got one heck of a set of tastebuds (or a lack of them). I spent some time catching up on Gardening by the Yard, which I have to say is one show I've watched over the years and always enjoy. Tonight is the Thursday lineup on NBC and tomorrow might or might not be the debates - we'll have to wait and see (It's like a cliffhanger!)
So, what are you watching this season?
Comments
Steve and I love New Adventures of Old Christine. I thought we were the only people watching it. No one else seems to know what I'm talking about when I mention it.
Oooh, I need to set the new DVR to tape Bizarre Foods. The kids and I love it. I try to encourage them to watch more "educational" stuff than all that Disney teeny bopper stuff. So if I find something educational that they like, I try to make sure I tape it for them.
As far as foods - I'm all for trying new things and we both encourage Nathan to try everything at least once, but I think there might just be the finest line between trying new things and having a cow spleen sandwich at the local spleen-only deli. When he says "That's deliciously gross and disgusting" - I'm going to bet I wouldn't like it.
I'm watching Heroes now and wow. (No spoilers.) But a bunch of people I work with watch it too and on Tuesday, everyone was like, "Holy crap, HEROES!" and I was like, "HAVEN'T WATCHED IT! Don't say ANYTHING!" So now I'm about to watch it myself.
I really like The Mentalist so far. I may like it better than Fringe although they're really different so it's hard to say. I'm also going to give Life on Mars, Sanctuary, Eleventh Hour and My Own Worst Enemy a try when they premiere.
I also tried Worst Week and I also hated it. I'm starting to think the only CBS comedy I will ever like is How I Met Your Mother.
I am also very excited for The Office, Grey's Anatomy, Amazing Race, Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, Private Practice and Californication. :)
Back to Heroes now. :)
I'll admit that he had half a bottle of wine with dinner, but I drank the other half so that couldn't have been it.
I only heard about Scrubs - are they going to have most of the same cast?
