Their problem is not that the student is drinking on the weekends, their problem is that the student is drinking and has their school name in his profile... they are addressing the symptom to save their reputation and they should be addressing the needs of a student. Epic religion fail!
Woow, bass ackwards much? So if a student acts up at school, they should have to hand over the keys to their house? How about their voice mail pin number? Oh and hand in their diary while they're at it also.? School's do not have the right to require handing over usernames/PWs to any site (period).
Ok, I don't use facebook but why exactly couldn't the school suggest parents to monitor thier kids accounts. Why must they have the password?
All they have to do is put a requirement in the contract the parents sign that requires monitoring and setup some sort of penalty including expulsion without a tuition refund if the child breaks the rules.
Parents are already the bad guy...the school doesn't need to be one also.
