Huh? My story? Okay. It was never easy for me. I was born a poor black child. I remember the days, sittin' on the porch with my family, singin' and dancin' down in Mississippi.

Oh - I tried.  I tried hard to avoid watching the RNC.  We've been watching food shows and dog training and storms and just about anything else, but finally I had, just HAD to see what Republicans look like.  Now I know some of you are in my neighborhood, and please don't take offense - you might even want to stop reading, but DAMN!  (yeah, stop reading) 

There were so many white people there, that even *I* felt uncomfortable.  What the hell?  I couldn't tell if I was watching the convention or if I had accidentally turned on an episode of Lawrence Welk.

And OLD?  Oh my god - what I want to know is - WHERE did they have room to stow all of the walkers and wheelchairs for this crowd?  These guys aren't just talking about the founding of our country, 60% of them were there during the signing of the original paperwork.

I watched Fred Thompson speak, but I didn't listen - I had the sound muted.  I kept rewinding to see the crowd.  Did anyone see "They Live"?  Yeah, it was like that. I expected to see "Obey" show up on the screen behind him.  I was afraid to put on my sunglasses because Lieberman might have turned into an alien.

I did get a chance to record a sound bite from the convention.  This was Lieberman talking about some events at a past Democratic Convention:

I guess you should know who contributes to your campaign before you start using them in your "Trash Obama" ads.
