What sound can't you stand?
Oh! I know. My "smart" phone has this alarm sound that drives me completely batty. I hate it - I wish it were dead.
The problem is that whenever it reboots, it "thinks" the alarm hasn't gone off "on time", so it over-does the alarm and sets it off like a bazillion times until there is blood coming out of my ears.
It's the devil in the form of a half-second, repeating chirp.
If you could live in any James Bond movie, which one would it be?
Submitted by DeWitte.
Oh, thanks for asking. I think I would most like to live in Goldfinger because the time frame was just about right for me and I loved seeing the scenes around Fort Knox. I'd take up residence somewhere near there.
What is your legacy?

Well, here is a legacy I spent a lot of time getting away from (and helping other people do the same):

Which popular slang expression drives you nuts?
I won't say it's popular since I've never heard it before, but we rented a book on tape for Nathan called "Judy Moody was in a Mood. Not a Good Mood. A Bad Mood".
Judy keeps saying "rare" all the time.
Judy's Friend "Hey, Judy - Look at my new shoes."
Judy "Rare!"
Me "Grrrr..."
She says it to the point that you want to make her go to her room or to write "I won't say RARE" one hundred billion times with a purple marker...
What's the best thing about today?
Oh, easy. That I'm here to see it.
What is the best beer on planet Earth?

Only limited to Earth? I heard the Vogons have some pretty good brews. Oh, well -
What's the current hottest restaurant in your city? Have you tried it out yet?
I'd say the hottest one this week is Cracker Barrel which opened on Monday. You can't get near it, so it's obviously hot.
I've been to A Cracker Barrel, just not THIS Cracker Barrel. Maybe this weekend...
What one year of your life would you like to re-live, if you were given the chance?
Submitted by Ross.
I guess the school year, 1982-1983. First year in college - I'd do a lot better now that I know why I was there.
Hindsight is always nice...
What are your favorite websites and resources for travel planning?
I mostly use two sites - Google and the Choice Hotel site. With the new re-route feature that Google Maps has, I can choose a destination and then drag my trip around so we can feel free to meander. Then I'll use the Choice Hotel site to find a good (low cost) place to stay. Once we have a route, I'll just use Google to learn about the different areas and we can decide where we want to stop. That's how we found the cool drive-in on our last trip.
